The venerable Lounge Ax... Chicago's indie rock club is a place that still looms large in the memories of many folks. Shuttered in 2000, it played host to Uncle Tupelo, Jesus Lizard, Yo La Tengo, Mekons, Tortoise, Pavement, Guided By Voices, Naked Raygun, Neutral Milk Hotel, Sebadoh, Superchunk, Old 97's... and on and on and on! Hell, you saw it in "High Fidelity" as well, right? The oft-told tale of a neighborhood that spits out it's pilgrims when the money moves in seemed to have hastened this club's demise. Sigh.

The club was there from 1989 to 2000 and was owned by Julia Adams and Susan Miller. Susan, now Susan Miller Tweedy, met and married Wilco's Jeff Tweedy there in 1995!

This is printed via Giclée, a high end archival printing process that layers inks in a similar fashion to screening. The colors POP and the image is very sharp!
