The Modern is everything you want in a neighborhood bar: history, location, an amazing drink selection, good peeps and a BOSS neon sign. Manchester is a bit of a hidden gem of a neighborhood in Pittsburgh's North Shore and the Modern anchors it nicely.

My fascination with the Modern Cafe stems from its service as the interior for the bar in the film "The Wonder Boys." The movie used a different bar in The Hill for the exterior shots, but if you are familiar with the flick, you will recognize the interior immediately. If you squint your eyes you can see Michael Douglas, Robert Downey Jr. and Tobey Maguire holding court in the banquette in the back of the joint!

This is printed via Giclée, a high end archival printing process that layers inks in a similar fashion to screening. The colors POP and the image is very sharp!
