Living in Porter Square in the 90's without a car, Cambridge was my stomping grounds. I worked in Kendall Square but spent a LOT of time in Central Square for damn near everything - hardware stores, coffee shops, and, oh yeah... LIVE MUSIC! The Plough and Stars was one of my favorite haunts for food, beer and all flavors of entertainment and I miss the hell out of it these days.

The landscape has changed drastically since then. Most of my favorite haunts from that lovely bygone era are either a distant memory or are hanging on by a thread... fortunately it seems like the Plough is still hanging in there after 50 years! Please treasure spots like these while we still have them, right?
